01

Education system

Options include community college, four-year undergraduate study, master’s and PhD. Each institution sets its requirements and cost of attendance.

02

Who it suits

  • applicants with a strong academic and extracurricular profile
  • students ready to build a Safety / Target / Reach list and multiple funding scenarios
03

Study levels

  • community college
  • bachelor’s degree
  • master’s degree
  • PhD
04

Languages of instruction

  • English
05

Academic requirements

There is no national university entrance exam. Institutions assess grades, curriculum rigour, essays, references, activities and tests where required.

06

Language requirements

English evidence is normally required, but accepted tests and exemptions vary. SAT, GRE and GMAT depend on programme policy.

07

Documents

  • passport after programme selection
  • school certificate or degree and complete transcript
  • official translations in the required format
  • language certificate where required
  • personal statement, CV, references or portfolio under programme rules
  • financial and visa documents at the relevant stage
08

Application stages

  1. 01profile and budget review
  2. 02longlist and eligibility check
  3. 03shortlist with primary and backup routes
  4. 04document preparation and quality control
  5. 05submission through the official portal
  6. 06offer, funding, visa and departure work
09

Preparation timeline

For most pathways, starting 9–18 months in advance is sensible. Scholarships, medicine, creative programmes and complex recognition require more time.

10

Intakes

Autumn is the main start. Early and regular deadlines differ; EducationUSA recommends starting research 12–18 months ahead.

11

Tuition fees

Use the institution’s official cost of attendance: tuition, mandatory fees, housing, food, insurance, books and transport.

12

Living costs

Costs vary greatly by state, city, campus and mandatory insurance.

13

Grants

  • merit-based scholarships
  • need-based financial aid
  • graduate assistantships on selected programmes
14

Scholarships and discounts

Coverage, eligibility and deadlines are checked against the current call. Admission and funding decisions may be separate processes.

  • merit-based scholarships
  • need-based financial aid
  • graduate assistantships on selected programmes
15

Visa requirements

After admission and financial certification, the institution issues I-20; the applicant then completes the separate F-1 process and normally an interview.

16

Housing

University housing and its deadline are checked first. Private rental is considered only after the contract, registration, deposit and transport links are reviewed.

17

Work during studies

F-1 employment rules are strict. On-campus work and later CPT/OPT routes require compliance and authorisation.

18

After graduation

Post-study options depend on the level, profession and immigration status: further study, an eligible post-study route, or returning with an international qualification.

19

Advantages

  • programme flexibility and wide choice
  • different scholarship and financial-aid models
20

Risks

  • an unbalanced college list
  • an incomplete total-cost and aid model
22

Team experience

RBEC draws on experience in selection, documents, applications and student support. Experience with an institution does not automatically mean an official partnership.

23

What RBEC does

  • review the profile and previous education
  • select programmes and backup options
  • build a deadline and document calendar
  • prepare admission, scholarship and visa tracks
  • recheck dynamic requirements before every submission
24

Frequently asked questions

Can you state an exact minimum grade in advance?

Most countries do not have one national threshold for every programme. A realistic benchmark is built from the selected universities.

When is it safe to pay a deposit?

Only after the offer, official invoice, refund rules and impact on the visa stage have been checked.

Can part-time work fund the degree?

Employment should not be the main visa funding plan. Eligibility and hours depend on status, programme and immigration rules.
